don't go big, you'll just go home!
While making big, impulsive decisions is inherently in my nature (I’m working on it), I’m learning that taking extra time, slowing down, and maybe not doing everything all at once actually yields better results–both in business and in life.
This is especially true when it comes to marketing–I can’t tell you the number of times people tell me they ‘tried everything to market their business’ but ‘nothing stuck’ and that’s because they literally tried doing everything to market their business thus nothing stuck.
Here are ways to start out:
social media
Outline your content at the beginning of the month, and allocate two posts/week. Once you get comfortable with this, try to increase that to three, along with stories whenever you have time.
ads
Remember a couple weeks back where I said boosting posts is a great way to start? Boost an already existing Instagram post, monitor results, and adjust accordingly.
email marketing
Start with one monthly newsletter, and keep it simple. Create a template or outline and stick to the same one each month, this will save you time AND increase readability!
collaborations
Choose an event or an opportunity to network and make it a priority once a month. Connect with your community, like minded people, and let the idea of a collaboration be organic (AKA don't be weird).
Remember, slow and steady wins the race!
