'if you could only choose 5 apps to work with, which ones would they be?'
Ooof. That's a tough one. Especially for someone like me who finds apps for anything and everything. But, since I'm always finding apps, I'm always down to talk about them, so step into my office!
Slack
Something I am also know for is talking (lol), so do you really think I could survive without the app we use internally to communicate? Mhm.
I love Slack because not only does it have easy ways to separate communication via different channels (we use a different channel for each client, as an example) but it has a lot (and I mean a lot) of different integrations that make things *so* much easier. You can even do video calls AND send voice notes!
Asana
I have been a fan of Asana for almost 10 years now. It is, by far, the best project management app out there. The opportunities are truly endless with Asana–you can customize each project by list, board, Kanban, Sprint, and other settings depending on what you need.
We use this to keep track of every deliverable for every project for every client, and assign tasks to each other on here all day–whether they're recurring large ticket items or small content revisions. Even if we discuss something on a call or via Slack (hehe), our rule of thumb is that we *always* assign a task to get it done.
Metricool
This one's a new fav, because I had been on the (endless, it seamed) hunt for a gr8 content scheduling tool. I rambled on about why I love Metricool so much here, but the TL;DR version is that it has all the capabilities we need to be able to schedule and post REELs, stories, posts, carousels, and videos on all the platforms we manage for our clients.
The UI/UX is incredible, it's so intuitive that it was almost confusing (we were so used to looking for features in the weirdest of places in most platforms). The mobile app is also amazing, and the manual publish reminders are seamless.
OpenPhone
And finally, the app that keeps me sane. Picture this: I'm unwinding before bed after a work day or enjoying a beach day on a weekend, and see a client texting me with a request when I open my messages. Now my brain is in work mode and my heart is racing thinking of the 193838 things that come along with that request.
Well, bye to that, thanks to OpenPhone. It's an app that serves as a second phone–it gives you a phone number that people can call and text as if it were a normal (non-iPhone) cellphone. I use this for client communication, and don't use my personal phone number for anything work-related anymore. Clients can text and call me to my OpenPhone number, and I can manage all communication from the desktop and mobile app.
The best part? I can set working hours and autoresponders for when people are trying to reach me after hours so I can enjoy my nights and weekends in peace.
there are more where these came from if you want to chat!
I'm only scratching the surface with these 5 apps, but they are truly the ones I've found to be the most helpful. If you have any questions about these or other apps we use, you know I'm your girl!
