the 411 on ads and where to start

April 5, 2024

If you have access to the internet, you get served (multiple) ads on a daily basis. And knowing the different types of ads and how to use them effectively is going to make all the difference for your brand!

your crash course on social ads

Think of your followers and audience as people in a conference room: subscribed and ready for what you have to say.

Now think of ads being the people that go out and actively recruit people into your conference room, without you waiting for the people already there to spread the word organically.

So yes, an amazing social media campaign paired with a killer email marketing strategy will initially get people in your conference room, but running ads is what will take your customer acquisition strategy to the next level.

boosted IG posts

These are posts that you boost directly on IG, choosing budget, audience, and CTA- making for a great place to start. I recommend going with the 'automatic' audience that the algorithm chooses here!

Google ads

Similar to Facebook ads, but since they work through searchable keywords on Google, you want to create them for a customer that is already interested in what you/your brand has to offer.

Facebook ads

Ads that are created from scratch and that allow for more audience customization. These are great for awareness campaigns, for people to learn about you/your brand.

retargeting campaigns

Exactly as the word says, these campaigns retarget people. Think of these as a sequence or a conversation you're having with your prospects. We need to run an awareness campaign first though!

Always remember, the devil works hard but the algorithm works harder. Use it to your advantage, especially with ads!
