building a landing page? include these four things
‘But Kayla, I already have a landing page–my website!’
No, no you don’t.
A regular website is built to introduce your brand, what it stands for, and what it has to offer. A landing page is a short, one page website that’s built with one goal: to sell.
And if you’re running ads, my guess is you want to do just that–sell.
Here’s what to include:
a hook
Put yourself in your target audience's shoes, think of the problem you're solving, and ask them a question that empathizes with it so they keep reading.
testimonials
Include written (or video for brownie points) testimonials of happy customers, showing your prospects how awesome their life is after your product/service helped them.
call to action
Introduce your product or service as a solution to their problem, and include a CTA (call to action). This can be 'buy now,' 'schedule a consult,' or something else.
a second offering
Whether it's a freebie or having them opt into your newsletter, make sure to offer something to catch the people who aren't quite ready to buy but are interested.
One of my favorite websites that have pre-built templates is LeadPages! Check them out and let me know what you think.
