content marketing vs. content strategy
The age-old question that’s always on our minds: do you know the difference between content strategy and content marketing? My guess is that you might not—and that’s totally okay because that’s why we’re here!
definitions, please...
To know the difference between the two, we first need to define them. Content strategy is your how and why—this provides your vision. Content marketing is your what, where, and when—this is your execution. An important thing to remember here: without a content strategy, there is no content marketing.
content strategy
Defining your content strategy leads to more customer-focused content, builds authority, and stops you from creating content just for the sake of followers. To achieve this, you must define your strategy. This includes: your target audience, overall business and sales goals, your content pillars, content creation strategy, and your brand voice.
content marketing
Remember when I said, “Without a content strategy, there is no content marketing”? Here’s why: content marketing involves the steps you take to achieve your business goals through creating, publishing, and managing content. Simply put, without content, there’s nothing to market.
