your September trends and news recap
*big inhale* I don’t know about anyone else, but September felt like it was 3 months long while simultaneously feeling like it was 3 minutes long (right?). Regardless of months or minutes, trends and social media updates definitely did not slow down! Here is your September trends and news recap:
trend alert: 'Short N' Sweet'
Sabrina Carpenter's new album, Short N' Sweet has been all over social media! It is everywhere on IG REELS, TikToks, and even in the news. Her iconic and witty lyrics make for the best-trending audios that can be used in many different ways.
how to use it:
You can use her songs to narrate relatable moments, add personality to lip-syncs, or enhance aesthetic edits like outfit or office videos. Yep–the witty lyrics also work well for humorous skits or reaction videos. Whether you're posting on REELS or TikTok, Short N' Sweet offers versatile audio to make your content stand out.
trend alert: 'workplace dictionary'
This is an engaging trend that gives your audience a behind-the-scenes look at your office lingo! An example we’ve seen is: "what do we say when we get an annoying email?" and the lighthearted response was shared. This is a great way to invite your followers to feel like a part of your team!
how to use it:
Although this trend can be used in many ways, here's my favorite way to use it: have the lingo written on a notecard where the first person can read it, and the second person is standing behind the camera explaining what is written on the notecard–trying to get them to explain the word or phrase.
Instagram news: profile display change
With the holiday season approaching, Meta has rolled out new ad updates to boost end-of-year promotions! These include easier-to-apply discount codes, updated reminder ads, and in-store shopping promos. The standout feature? A more prominent discount code notification that automatically applies at checkout, making it simpler for users to redeem offers.
how to use it:
Add all the discounts to your promotions as you want. It's easier to apply, and easier for your customers to find!
*now a big exhale* I know, I know–staying up to date with social media trends and news can feel exhausting, but doesn’t it feel nice to have someone take care of that for you?
