6 months here at CCco.
Summing up the last 6 months at Cleary Creative Co. would lead me down a long rant about how passionate I am about this company and would probably have me shedding a few happy tears. But, to save you from the dramatics, here a just a few of the things I've learned from my past 6 months here at CCco.:
every idea has value
Every idea has value. Read that one more time for me. This is a lesson that took me a while to learn. In the brainstorming process for content, I would hesitate to throw out ideas that seemed too small or even too big, but it's called brainstorming for a reason. Learning that every idea has value made the brainstorming process not only less stressful, but easier to get the idea we would eventually land on. Also a few of those ideas thrown out could be used for later!
the power of research
While this may seem a bit obvious, I’ll always keep this lesson with me. Do not underestimate the power of research! Knowing not only who your clients are, but immersing yourself in their world will save you time and also a lot of headache. Starting at CCco., I was nervous to work for clients that I didn't have background knowledge in (“how am I going to help a roofing brand grow?”), but through research and creative skills, I am now able to make content calendars for companies I didn't think I could. Gaining knowledge is always a good thing.
the importance of a consistent brand image
Not to pick favorites buuuuut this is definitely my favorite thing I've learned since being at CCco. Brand image is key to success in the marketing field–as it shows consistency, professionalism, and allows your target audience to get to know who you are. I’ve also been able to have fun making graphics and content using different clients’ brand images and tying it all together cohesively. I mean, c'mon! Fonts and colors are so fun.
maintaining a work-life balance
This lesson is sponsored by my boss, K. From day one, she showed me a perfect example of work-life balance. In the social media world, it can feel like you are on the clock 24/7 (since you literally carry your job in the palm of your hand). Learning when work is work and life is life enriches my working experience!
I told you I’d save the dramatics, didn’t I?
I’m forever grateful for my time at Clearly Creative Co. and all that it has taught me. Here’s to 6 months (and many more) at my dream job 🫶🏻
